Animation Priority
Animations use priority levels. When two animations affect the same part of the face, the higher priority animation will take over.
Basic Moods
Priority 1, looped animations
Basic Moods are looped facial animations designed to make your head feel alive.
Use the On / Off switch to activate or deactivate all Basic Moods.
Moods Browser
Sixty-four Basic Moods are included, ranging from subtle to more expressive.
You can select one mood, and the HUD will continuously play that mood. You can also select multiple moods. In that case, the HUD will randomly select and play from the active moods, making your avatar appear more animated over time.
Click a selected mood again to deactivate it.
Use Prev Page and Next Page to browse through the available moods.
Head Movement
The Head Movement button adds subtle head motion to the active mood animation. Turning it on makes the head move with the facial animation.
Head Movement uses higher priority than most AOs, stands, or furniture animations. If it conflicts with another animation you are using, turn Head Movement off.
Eye / Lids
Priority 2, Mood Enhancers
Eye / Lids animations affect the eyelids and eyes, and can be used to modify the active Basic Mood.
These animations override the eye and eyelid movement of the selected mood, while allowing the rest of the mood animation to continue.
Idle Eyes
Idle Eyes allows the default eye animation to play when no other eye or eyelid animation is active.
It is available when:
No mood animation is playing.
No Eye / Lids animation is playing.
No eye control animation is active.
No Eye / Lids utility pose is active.
When all of these conditions are met, Idle Eyes can turn on automatically. It can also be turned off manually.
Static Eyes
Static Eyes locks your eyes in place using a priority 4 animation. Use this carefully, as it may override other eye or eyelid animations and affect animation behaviour.
Lips / Mouth
Priority 2, Mood Enhancers
Lips / Mouth animations affect the mouth and lip area, and can be used to enhance or adjust the active Basic Mood.
These animations override the mouth and lip movement of the selected mood, while allowing the rest of the mood animation to continue.
Use these when you want to change the mouth expression without changing the entire facial mood.
Animations Tab
Utility, Vocal, and Photo Assist Animations
Eye Control
Priority 5, Static Stills Photo Assist
Eye Control lets you manually position the eyes for posing and photography.
These animations override other eye animations that use eye and eyelid bones, except animations that leave the eyelids unlocked.
On / Off switches the eye control system on or off.
Link moves both eyes together.
Mirror mirrors the eye direction based on your camera view. Turn Mirror on when facing the camera, and turn it off when facing away from the camera.
These are utility animations intended for photography. They stop when the HUD is detached and automatically disengage after logging off.
Vocal
Priority 3
Vocal animations are triggered while typing in local chat or using voice in-world.
Different options are available for talking and singing, ranging from neutral to more expressive:
Talk I - neutral talk, mouth only.
Talk :I - neutral talk, full face.
Talk ) - happy talk, mouth only.
Talk :) - happy talk, full face.
Sing O - singing, mouth only.
Sing :O - singing, full face.
Continuously looped talk and sing gestures for vlogging, performing, and similar uses are available in the Gesture Pack.
If you want to use the same vocal gesture as the one selected on the main HUD, the matching main HUD vocal button must be unchecked for the Vocal Gesture to operate properly.
If you want to activate a different vocal gesture from the one selected on the main HUD, you can leave the main HUD selection active.
Please deactivate all active gestures from previous versions to avoid interactions and script errors.
Lips / Mouth
Priority 2, Mood Enhancers
Lips / Mouth animations override the mouth and lip movement of the active Basic Mood.
These animations are useful when you want to adjust the mouth expression while keeping the rest of the facial mood active.
Some animations are static, while others are looped. The chew animation will continue looping until stopped.
Expressions
Priority 2, Static Stills Photo Assist
Basic Expressions are static facial poses intended for photography and posing.
They are not mood enhancers and are not intended for continuous mood playback.
Use On / Off to activate or deactivate all Basic Expressions.
Only one Basic Expression can be active at a time.
Click an expression once to activate it. Click the same expression again to deactivate it, or use the On / Off switch to stop all Basic Expressions.
Use the arrow buttons to browse through the expression pages.
